Report: West Brom keen on Liverpool starlet with Benfica also registering interest
Liverpool winger Harry Wilson is a wanted man this summer, with West Brom taking a keen interest and Benfica also making an initial move.
That’s according to , who claim Benfica have made a move for Wilson only to see initial talks break down. It is claimed that Liverpool want around £13m for their man and Benfica are turning their noses up at that figure.
Wilson has struggled to break into the Liverpool team under Klopp. Instead, he’s spent time out on loan, notably with Derby, Bournemouth, and most recently, Cardiff City.

Klopp has previously praised the Welshman for his ‘world-class’ skills in deadball situations. However, that hasn’t been enough to see him get in and around the Reds’ first XI.
This summer could well see Wilson go. report that the winger is open to a permanent switch. West Brom and Brentford are touted as being interested, while Swansea are also said to be keen.
Wilson has done while on loan each time, in fairness to him. While at Derby, he very nearly helped the Rams to promotion. During his time with Bournemouth he scored 7 Premier League goals as well, a feat he matched with Cardiff last term in the Championship.
But at 24, the Welshman now needs to make the right move in his career.
West Brom a good move for Harry Wilson but can he sneak a PL switch?
Wilson has proved with Bournemouth that he can do it. A move to the top flight, then, shouldn’t be ruled out.
The question is, who signs him? Benfica is a massive move if that comes off and one he’ll surely take. In terms of PL clubs though, the likes of Burnley have shown interest before, while newly promoted sides could also surely use him.
Liverpool have made a habit of getting good money for their young players in recent years. Don’t expect them to waver on this £13m Wilson fee then.
