In case he does leave, then the Baggies have a shortlist of potential replacements and, according to , former Sheffield United boss Chris Wilder is one of💙 the names.

The 53-year-old took his boyho💮od club from League One to ninth place in the Premier League, but left in Mar👍ch with the Blades freefalling towards relegation.

TBR View:

Wilder’s time at Bramall Lane may have ended on a low note but he’ll always be remembered by the fans as a top coach who took his boyhood club from the third tier to the top flight an🍸d had them punching above their wei♕ght for a season.

Steve McClaren sang Wilder’s praises in March last year, telling Sky Sports – via : “I remember when I was at QPR and they beat us and I thought ‘thisꦗ is a team, this’.

“I said ‘how are you doing and everything’ and he said ‘we’re a team which needs to be 100 percent, every player, every week. If wꦅe are 99 percent or 98, we lose games. We need to be 100 percent’.

“And what he’s doing, he’s getting 100 percent – it’s phenomenal – (first)💦 in the Championship and now in the Premier League.”

As for West Brom, they’ll need a manager who knows what it takes to navigate the marathon tಞhat is the second tier, and if Allardyce doesn’t stay, then Wilder is certainly a good shout.
