Report: West Brom most likely to sign Hamza Choudhury

West Brom are in pole position in the race to sign Hamza Choudhury, that Leicester City only prepared to sanction a permanent move as things stand.

Choudhury’s future has been up in the air for a little while. He has only made one start in the Premier League for Brendan Rodgers’s side this season.

He has been linked with a host of top flight rivals. that Newcastle, Southampton and the Baggies had all been offered the 23-year-old on loan.

that Sam Allardyce’s men are the side most likely to sign the midfielder. However, they also hint that the Foxes may have changed their stance slightly.

According to The Telegraph, a loan move is not going to be considered. Instead, they are only willing to open the door for a permanent exit.

That may appeal to West Brom. The Baggies already have Conor Gallagher on loan at the Hawthorns. So signing Choudhury on loan would prevent them bringing them anyone else in for the rest of the season.

Of course, much will depend on how much Leicester want for the youngster. West Brom were not big spenders in the summer. And they have not splashed the cash in the early stages of this month.

But if Leicester are not demanding a lot for Choudhury, perhaps the Baggies will indeed be tempted to make him their latest addition.
