Report: West Brom close to signing Darnell Furlong
According to the , West Brom are closing in on a deal for QPR defender Darnell Furlong. The Baggies are set to split with £1.5 million in exchange for the 23-year-old right-back.
Furlong’s arrival at the Hawthorns should then pave the way for Allan Nyom to leave the club, as per the aforementioned report.
Slaven Bilic will be keen to mould his West Brom squad in his own image this summer, having only been appointed as manager following the end of last season. He certainly has plenty of work to do in order to plug all of the gaps in his squad.

Following the expiry of Mason Holgate’s loan stay with the Baggies, West Brom are in desperate need of a new right-back. Furlong looks set to come and make that position his own. The Englishman enjoyed a fine campaign in the Championship last season, racking up 25 appearances for QPR.
Furlong would provide an injection of youth, pace and attacking impetus into West Brom’s back line. He would provide the Midlands club with some much-needed additional squad depth too. His arrival would also mark further progress in Bilic’s overhaul of his team.
