Report: Wages could scupper West Brom’s Kenneth Zohore’s hopes of Sheffield Wednesday move
Sheffield Wednesday are struggling to complete a move for Kenneth Zohore, that the West Bromwich Albion striker’s wage demands are causing a problem.
It would be no surprise to see Zohore leave the Hawthorns this summer. The Dane endured a tough first season with the Baggies, scoring three goals in 17 appearances in the Championship.

that the Owls want to sign Zohore permanently. However, his £50,000-a-week wages are putting a large stumbling block in front of a potential switch to Hillsborough.
The report notes that Wednesday will struggle to cover half of his wages – which even throws a possible loan move into some doubt.

Garry Monk’s men have made a promising start to the season. They beat Cardiff City 2-0 on the opening day of the Championship campaign.
But it does appear that they could do with adding more quality up front. Zohore – whose superb form for Cardiff earned him a move to West Brom – has proven that he can score goals at Championship level.
And it may be in West Brom’s best interests to do all they can to facilitate Zohore’s exit. If he is not going to feature for Slaven Bilic’s side this term, then moving him on makes sense.
The Baggies will have their own plans for the final weeks of the window. And letting Zohore go should hand their kitty a boost as the deadline edges slightly closer.
