that Scottish Premiership duo Motherwell and Kilmarnock are both interested in Celtic centre-back Jack Hendry this summer, before September 2’s deadline.
Hendry, 24, is completely ‘surplus to requirements’ as per the report, failing to make a single appearance for the Scottish champions in any competition this season – following the signing of Christopher Jullien for £7million from Toulouse.
Hendry joined Celtic from Dundee in January 2018 for £1.5million (), but has managed just 26 appearances for the Hoops since his move. Throughout the entire 2018-19 campaign, Hendry was used just 15 times.
Celtic stalled over a sale to English Championship side Hull and the window down south has since ended. Motherwell and Killie have both made their interest known, while there is interest from Germany, too. Hendry has a contract until 2022.

TBR’s view – Hendry has simply got to leave Celtic
The central defender has simply got to leave parkhead, after falling even further down the pecking order under Neil Lennon. Jozo Simunovic, Kris Ajer and Jullien are all above Hendry in the pecking order.
Lennon is likely to be interested in bringing another centre-back to Celtic Park, though Hatem Abd Elhamed can play in the middle of the defence and at right-back. But Hendry has no chance at Celtic, and simply must leave the club.
