Report: Tottenham want 29-year-old PL centre-back expected to have offers from major clubs in Italy and Spain
Tottenham Hotspur appear to be in the running to sign James Tarkowski from Burnley, that Spurs are one of the sides who have a longstanding interest in the centre-back.
Tarkowski missed out on the chance to come up against Antonio Conte’s men on Sunday. The Premier League clash between the Clarets and Tottenham, of course, was postponed due to adverse weather.

Fabio Paratici may perhaps feel particularly frustrated about the game’s postponement as he may have been hoping to have a look at the 29-year-old.
that the England international is out of contract next summer. And Spurs are one of the clubs who have a longstanding interest, with West Ham and Newcastle United also tracking the defender.

It is also suggested that Tarkowski is expected to attract offers from major clubs in Spain and Italy.
Tarkowski not the most exciting target, but Tottenham could certainly do a lot worse
Tarkowski has been an exceptional servant in the Premier League. And at 29, there is no reason why he cannot continue at the highest level for a few more years yet.
Of course, he is not the most exciting name to have been linked with Tottenham in recent times.
But on a free transfer, he could prove to be an inspired addition. Certainly, he would provide steel. And that is definitely something that Conte will want more of based on their first few showings during his tenure.
He is also a leader. And missing out on his signature would be a potential blow for Spurs.
