The reports that Tottenham’s offer for the midfielder is about to be submitted, as they now have a clear route to sign him.
Tottenham were thought to be competing with Arsenal for the Frenchman’s signature, but the Gunners have now gone for Martin Odegaard, meaning that they are unlikely to bring in another creative midfielder.
But Tottenham could now be in with a chance of landing the 22-year-old in a cut price deal.

Risky buy?
If Tottenham were to sign him there would now be more of a gamble to the transfer, after his dip in form.
But if Spurs could get Aouar back to his best, then there is little doubt that for a relatively small fee, he could be a huge bargain.
Tottenham’s bid for Aoaur could be further bad news for Tanguy Ndombele, if it is successful though.
Ndombele has already struggled for game time at Spurs, and if Nuno’s side were to bring in another playmaker, serious questions would have to be asked about his future at the North London club.
