Report: Tottenham target Antonio Rudiger handed ultimatum by Chelsea
Chelsea have told Antonio Rudiger that he can forget signing for Tottenham or West Ham on loan if he doesn’t sign a new contract at Stamford Bridge,
Spurs have been linked with a move for the Germany international, with the Hammers also thought to be keen on signing the 27-year-old.
Rudiger is wanted on a season-long loan but Chelsea want him to sign a 12-month extension on top of the 18 months he has left to run.

Tottenham have identified the centre-back as an alternative to Milan Skriniar, with a deal for the Inter defender currently in the balance.
Rudiger has fallen way down the pecking order under Frank Lampard, failing to make the squad in four of Chelsea’s five games this season.
He signed for the Blues in 2017, costing the club from Roma. Since arriving he has made 115 appearances for Chelsea, winning the FA Cup during his time at Stamford Bridge.
Tottenham could be left disappointed if the player chooses not to pen a new deal.
It’s claimed that Chelsea will keep Rudiger out in the cold should he not get on board with the ultimatum from his current club.
Right now there could be a stalemate situation, with Rudiger thought to be very keen to negotiate a way out of Chelsea.
TBR View – One to watch for Tottenham and West Ham
Tottenham and West Ham both need central defenders and this situation should be monitored closely.
Rudiger would probably prefer to head to Tottenham given their probable participation in the Europa League.

Spurs need to beat Maccabi Haifa tonight to secure a place in the group stages.
Rudiger might be best to agree to Chelsea’s terms with it looking unlikely they will back down over a move if he doesn’t.
The man with a World Cup winners medal to his name could thrive at Tottenham and he could prove a quality partner to slot in alongside Toby Alderweireld.
