Report: Tottenham still looking to offload Danny Rose before transfer deadline

Tottenham Hotspur are still hoping to move defender Danny Rose on before the end of today, with Jose Mourino seeing no future at the club for the left-back.

Rose is still with Spurs despite falling well down the pecking order under Mourinho. The 30-year-old spent time on loan with Newcastle last season but as yet, no deal has been forthcoming from the Magpies for a return.

But Tottenham are still hoping to move Rose away from the club today, according to the.

Rose, who has been capped 29 times by England, has had a frosty relationship to say the least with Jose Mourinho. Indeed, the recent Amazon documentary showed this, with Rose confronting Mourinho in an explosive showdown.

Spurs, though, have yet to receive any concrete bids it seems for the defender. And with time ticking away on what will be a busy deadline day in north London, Rose may well find himself further out in the cold if he’s not careful.

What a mess this has become for both Spurs and Danny Rose. Once seen as the best left-back in the country, Rose now finds himself struggling for fitness, game-time, and a new club.

Hopefully, someone will take a punt on the former England man and give him a new lease of life. The problem is, who gives him that chance?

Newcastle are nowhere to be seen for now so a move abroad may well come his way.
