Report: Tottenham rivalling top-six English club for Geoffrey Kondogbia
that Tottenham Hotspur are rivalling Manchester United in pursuit of Valencia midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia this summer.
Kondogbia, 27, has entered the final two years of his Valencia contract and it is believed the La Liga side are willing to sanction the sale of the former Inter Milan, Sevilla and Monaco midfielder.
A move to the Premier League is deemed favourable and two clubs are after Kondogbia – in the form of Tottenham and Manchester United. Spurs, though, remain favourites to sign Southampton star Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.
However, Kondogbia is dreaming of a move to England and Spurs are interested – along with Manchester United. It remains to be seen how much Valencia would be willing to sell Kondogbia for, given he cost £23million ().
TBR’s view – Kondogbia a good option if Hojbjerg move fails
Hojbjerg is the perfect summer addition for Tottenham, and while the Dane seemingly has his heart set on a move to north London – Everton are also interested and have made an offer for the ex-Bayern Munich star.
The ideal mix of power, leadership and footballing intelligence, Hojbjerg would add the steel missing in the Spurs midfield – something Tanguy Ndombele was supposed to provide. Kondogbia could do that too.
