Report: Tottenham receive boost in pursuit of Barcelona attacker
that Barcelona want to sell attacker Malcom to a Premier League side despite Borussia Dortmund’s interest, and that could prove to be a big boost for Tottenham Hotspur.
Tottenham were keen on landing the 22-year-old from French club Bordeaux in the summer of 2018, only for Barcelona to win the race and land the young Brazilian – paying £36.5million for his services ().
Malcom has since managed just 23 appearances for the La Liga champions this season, finding the back of the net only four times. The season prior, he scored 12 goals and created eight assists for Bordeaux.
that Malcom is one of four players Tottenham and Daniel Levy are looking to splash £100million on this summer, along with Youri Tielemans, Jack Grealish and Ryan Sessegnon.

With Barcelona preferring to sell Malcom to the Premier League in order to obtain more money, it pushes Spurs into pole position ahead of German side Dortmund who want to replace Christian Pulisic.
TBR’s view
Spurs need additions in the final third. In the first leg of the Champions League semi-final, Pochettino’s side needed a goal but all he had on the bench were defenders and defensive midfielders.
Eric Dier was joined by Oliver Skipp, Kyle Walker-Peters, Juan Foyth, Ben Davies and Paulo Gazzaniga. Moussa Sissoko had been brought on in the first half. All Pochettino could do was alter his full-backs.
Bringing Malcom in would give Pochettino another option in attack, which is vital – especially when the likes of Erik Lamela, Harry Kane and certain others are somewhat prone to injury.
