Report: Tottenham put £50 million price tag on Eriksen

According to the , Totte🦹nham Hotspur will consider bids of £50 million or more for Christian Eriksen this summer. Due to fears that the Danish playmaker could leave the club for free at the end of the season, the Spurs hierarchy are will𝔍ing to entertain offers in that region.

With the European transfer window still open, there remains time for a club on the continent to prise Eriksen away from north London. Given Daniel Levy’s tendency for being ruthless in the market, it’s unlikely that he’d be happy to see a player as valuable as Eriksen leave the club on a free transfer. However, it remains to be seen if any European clubs are willing to make a move now, rather than wait until January to offer him a pre-contract agreement.

TBR’s view

The 27-year-old is a fine pla🍃yer. However, give💦n Mauricio Pochettino already has the likes of Dele Alli, Giovani Lo Celso and Heung-min Son in his ranks, he could likely cope without the 89-cap Denmark international.

What’s more, Eriksen is far too valuable to lose on a free transfer. Spurs should be actively seeking buyers for the midfꦺielder at this time. He may be worth far more than £50 million, but if that’s the best figure Spurs can get then they should take it. Allowing the Dane to run down his contract completely i🦄s not a notion that the club should even entertain. It is imperative that they find a buyer now.
