Report: Tottenham only team to officially register interest in Pedro Porro
Tottenham Hotspur are the team leading the race to sign Pedro Porro, that Antonio Conte’s men are the only side to register their interest in the Sporting star officially.
The race for Porro’s signature remains a key talking point of the January transfer window. He could be the latest player offered the chance to come to the Premier League after impressing in Portugal.
Fabrizio Romano has that Tottenham view the Spaniard as their top target for the right wing-back role. However, Sporting will only let him go if his £39.8 million release clause is triggered.

That would be a significant outlay. And with Spurs yet to pay that amount, some fans may be concerned about the prospect of missing out on the 23-year-old.
However, it would appear that Fabio Paratici is in a good position. In fact, , Tottenham remain the front-runners to sign Porro. They are the only team to have registered their interest officially.
Of course, much can change while the window is open and Porro is still up for grabs. And that release clause certainly leaves the door open for another side to snatch him from Spurs’ grasp.
You do get the sense that Sporting would be only too happy to keep Porro beyond this window. So it is going to be difficult for Tottenham to negotiate a lower price for the former Manchester City man.
If they do view him as a top target however, that could prove to be a bargain.
Tottenham may feel that they do not need to spend those funds while they already have three players in that position. But it does appear that Conte is not entirely convinced about any of the three right now.
