Report: Tottenham offered two Barcelona stars in return for Tanguy Ndombele
that Tottenham Hotspur have been offered the chance to sign Barcelona duo Nelson Semedo and Samuel Umtiti, in a swap deal for Tanguy Ndombele.
Ndombele, 23, has struggled in his first season at Tottenham since joining the club from a club-record fee from Barcelona. He has played just 27 times for Spurs, and it is clear that Jose Mourinho is not his biggest fan.
Despite that, Barcelona are keen because they want to add some steel in the middle of the park – while Ivan Rakitic looks set to leave the club. However, due to the global health crisis, it is believed Barcelona are unlikely to spend big.
The latest report claims Barcelona remain intent on signing the France international, but given the Spanish giants are against spending big, they are ready to offer Spurs a swap deal that would see Umtiti and Semedo move to north London.

TBR’s view – Tottenham have got to snap Barca’s hand off
Ndombele has struggled in the Premier League, and he certainly is not one of the first names on the team sheet. Spurs are well stocked in midfield, with Harry Winks, Moussa Sissoko, Eric Dier, Oliver Skipp, Gedson Fernandes and Gio Lo Celso.
Spurs do need a right-back and a centre-back. Serge Aurier remains a liability, while Jan Vertonghen is due to leave. Bringing in Semedo and Umtiti would be top-class replacements, and if it means they need to lose Ndombele, then so be it.
