Report: Tottenham offer AC Milan two players in quest to sign Krzysztof Piatek
Tottenham have increased their efforts to land AC Milan striker Krzysztof Piatek ahead of Friday’s transfer deadline.
Spurs are willing to offer the San Siro-based giants a choice of two players in return for the 24-year-old.
The unfortunate players being offered to Milan by Spurs are Erik Lamela and Juan Foyth.
Both players have fallen out of favour at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Foyth has never really been deemed a first-team regular at the club since arriving in 2018.
This season he has played just 65 minutes of Premier League action and has made 32 appearances in total since arriving two years ago.
Lamela would perhaps represent more of a shock departure.
The £80,000-a-week star has started nine games this season and has been used fairly often by Jose Mourinho.
Lamela has scored 33 goals and registered 45 assists in 208 appearances since arriving from Roma in 2013.
The Times claims that Tottenham aren’t willing to pay the £25 million that Milan want to recoup for Piatek.
The 24-year-old has scored five goals in 19 appearances this season and is also attracting interest from other clubs.

Spurs are desperate to add a striker to their ranks before the window closes.
Harry Kane’s injury has left them desperately short in attack and reinforcing the final third is necessary.
Lamela has been in the team under Mourinho but there does seem to be stronger players ahead of him in the pecking order.
Losing Foyth would be no blow at all to Spurs. He has barely featured and offloading him seems ideal.
Piatek is clearly the man who Spurs want to sign and it does seem a bit odd they won’t fork out the relatively small £25 million.
If Tottenham can tempt Milan into taking one of Lamela or Foyth as payment, they’d land themselves a very good deal.
Spurs could fill a problem position and get one or two fringe players off their wage bill at the same time.
It will be interesting to see how this pans out between now and Friday.
