Report: Tottenham now expected to bid for tallest striker at Euro 2020, Steve Hitchen’s a big fan

Tottenham Hotspur are now expected to move for Wout Weghorst this summer, .
They report that Steve Hitchen actually was keen to sign Weghorst last summer, but the club pushed through a move for Carlos Vinicius instead.
That loan move didn’t work out particularly brilliant for either Tottenham or Vinicius, with the powerful forward spending most the season on the bench.
And it may be that Tottenham are now on the hunt for a player with more experience.
That is where Weghorst fits in, as the 28-year-old target-man is far more proven across numerous leagues.
Weghorst has scored prolifically in both Holland and Germany, and now even has goals at international level.

Good impact option
He was part of the Dutch side at Euro 2020, although lost his place to Donyell Malen as the tournament progressed.
At 6ft 6inches, Weghorst was the tallest striker in the tournament and his height remains a major asset.
If he was to move to Spurs he would offer them a bigger aerial threat, and could be a real weapon as plan B late on, due to his sheer size.
Wolfsburg are said to be open to offers to him, which gives Spurs further hope that a signing could be possible.
But Weghorst is said to be open to staying with them as he helped them earn Champions League football last term, which means Spurs may have some convincing to do.
