Report: Tottenham man wants huge £575k-a-week contract if he is to leave the club

Talk around Antonio Conte and Paris Saint-Germain has started in recent days, with Mauricio Pochettino on the brink.

There has been inevitable discussion of effectively a job swap between Conte and Pochettino, and it is possible to see a situation where that suits all parties.

French outlet have published a report of Conte’s demands, and as you might expect, there are a fair few of them.

They claim that Conte wants to be one of the best-paid managers in the world if he joins PSG, demanding a contract which works out at £575,000 per week.

There are also demands around the culture of PSG, where the players have too much power in his eyes and he would even want someone to come in with him to limit and control the use of social media in the squad.

He also wants control over transfers, and to bring his extensive backroom staff, as well as coming in with his own director of football.

Will PSG really give Conte everything he wants? If they were a serious sporting project, they probably would but at the moment it is a circus.

That means there is only so much good managers can do and Pochettino is the latest to try and do the job with one hand tied behind his back.

The Argentine may want to come back to Spurs, where the job was not perfect and he would have to fight for some control, and the swap deal could work, but there is plenty to sort out.
