Report: Tottenham Hotspur want Freiburg defender Robin Koch as Toby Alderweireld’s replacement
Robin Koch is the latest name on Tottenham Hotspur’s wishlist. , Koch has been identified as a potential Toby Alderweireld replacement.
Alderweireld’s future at Spurs is uncertain. A number of clubs, including Manchester United, Juventus and Barcelona, want to sign the Belgian defender for £26m ().
The 30-year-old has a clause in his contract allowing him to leave for that small fee. And he is yet to agree a new deal with Spurs, leading to speculation surrounding his future.
Tottenham have now been scouring the market for potential replacements. The North London side will need a new centre-back to compete with Juan Foyth, Davinson Sanchez and Jan Vertonghen.

Freiburg defender Koch has emerged as their latest target. The 22-year-old has been impressing in the Bundesliga and could earn a Premier League move.
Valencia are also keen on Koch, who moved to Freiburg in 2017 from Kaiserslautern. The Germany U21 centre-back has been a key part of Freiburg’s team this season, playing 22 games and helping to secure safety in the German top-flight.
Koch could cost more than Caylar Soyuncu, who moved from Freiburg to Leicester City last summer. The Turkish defender was sold for about £18m, meaning Spurs might need to break the £20m barrier to sign Koch.
