Report: Tottenham Hotspur player now decides he’d quite like to join Napoli, but they’ve not even bid for him
Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Giovani Lo Celso has been heavily linked with a move away from the club this summer and .
Reports suggested yesterday that Villarreal were closing in on reaching a full agreement for Lo Celso to rejoin the La Liga side, but it seems that Lo Celso is keeping his options open.
The 26-year-old has found himself surplus to requirements at Spurs and was left out of the Premier League squad for the club’s game against Southampton on Saturday.
The Argentine spent the second half of last season on loan at Villarreal and was a huge success under Unai Emery as they reached the Champions League semi-final.

Villarreal seem like they are the closest to securing a move for the player at this time but there are other teams Lo Celso would not be against joining.
.
The midfielder is open to the idea of moving to Italy and also likes the idea of joining Napoli or Lazio, but neither side has made an offer for him.
Meanwhile, Villarreal are pressing to tie a deal up for the Spurs man but haven’t managed to finish negotiations just yet.
And if the La Liga side fails to find an agreement with Tottenham, Fiorentina will be ready to make their move.

Lo Celso would like to join Napoli
A move back to Spain for Lo Celso seems to make the most sense for the player after getting back to his best under Emery last season. But the Argentina international seems to have plenty of suitors if that move doesn’t materialise.
If Napoli were to make a move for the Spurs man, it would also see him return to a Champions League club after putting in some brilliant displays in the competition last season.
Despite a below-par spell in North London, it’s no surprise that Lo Celso has four clubs interested in him as the Argentine has shown he is a talented player.
It just hasn’t worked out for Lo Celso at Tottenham, despite some promising displays when he first joined the club.
The player clearly doesn’t feature in Antonio Conte’s plans for the coming season and seems to be edging closer to a move away from Spurs this summer.
