Report: Tottenham have made Memphis Depay bid in last few hours
Tottenham Hotspur have made an offer for Memphis Depay in the last few hours, that the forward is not looking to return to the Premier League.
Depay faces being somewhat frozen out at Camp Nou. Xavi’s men have agreed a contract extension with Ousmane Dembele, and have signed Raphinha. And it appears that Robert Lewandowski will not be far behind the Brazilian now.

With that, Spurs have sensed an opportunity to land Depay. Reports claimed some time ago that Antonio Conte’s men want the Dutchman.
It appears that they have now stepped up their interest. , an offer from Tottenham has arrived in the last few hours.

Barca want £17 million for the 28-year-old. But Spurs are not prepared to pay more than £14.5 million for the forward as he has only got one year left on his contract.
However, that may not be the only stumbling block. Sport adds that Depay is not particularly keen to return to England.
He had been hoping to stay in Catalonia and potentially sign a new contract. But he is now ready to consider his options with clubs in Italy also interested.
Tottenham make Memphis Depay offer
Signing Depay for anything like £14.5 million would be yet another inspired piece of business from Tottenham. He has been exceptional for a number of years now.
And while his first year with Barca was not perfect, he still finished the campaign as their top goalscorer. Xavi labelled him ‘‘ during the season.
He would certainly be a fantastic addition to Conte’s ranks. And clearly, he would not cost a significant sum for Spurs.
It appears that there is still some work to do before Depay ends up at Tottenham. But it does seem that Spurs have now stepped up their pursuit.
