Report: Tottenham eye £26m-rated Serie A star loved by Paratici
Tottenham are busy working on a number of transfer deals, with Cagliari midfielder Nahitan Nandez on the shortlist.
The 25-year-old typically operates on the right-hand side of the pitch, although he’s not uncomfortable playing through the middle.
Nandez has been with the Serie A outfit since 2019, making 72 appearances and scoring four goals. During 2020/21 he made 34 outings for the club but could now be on the move.

has previously claimed that Nandez will cost any potential suitors £26 million. It does seem unlikely that Fabio Paratici will be put off by such a price tag, whilst Leeds are also keen.
Prior to joining Cagliari, the midfielder was at Boca. He made 63 appearances for the Argentine outfit, scoring six times and claiming seven assists.
Nandez has 41 caps for Uruguay and could now check-in at Tottenham, despite links with Leeds United during the transfer window.
Paratici is keen to bolster the Spurs squad and Nandez is firmly in his sights prior to the transfer window closing.
Could Nandez be a good signing for Tottenham?
He looks like the ideal player to act as an upgrade on someone like Moussa Sissoko. The Frenchman might not be fancied by Nuno Espirito Santo and Nandez is at a nice age to continue developing.
Having another player who can play in a number of midfield roles wouldn’t be a bad thing. Espirito Santo is keen to continue reshaping his squad and he will want to enjoy a decent campaign.

Harry Kane’s departure could see Tottenham with a bounty of cash to spend and Nandez wouldn’t be a bad way to use £26 million of the potential fee.
Tottenham beat Manchester City 1-0 yesterday. Signing Nandez might spark more celebrations on the streets of North London.
