Report: Tottenham eye Club Brugge winger, AC Milan had £9m January bid rejected
that Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Club Brugge winger Arnaut Danjuma Groeneveld, after being first linked with the impressive attacker in January.
Groeneveld, 22, has broken into the Netherlands set up under Ronald Koeman after starring with Belgian side Club Brugge – following his bargain £900,000 move from Dutch Eredivisie side NEC Nijmegen last summer.
It was clear to see that Groeneveld was going to be a player with the world at his feet after 14 goals and 17 assists in 46 outings for Nijmegen – with some of those coming as a teen. He scored against Belgium in one of his two caps.
In his first 24 outings for Brugge, Groeneveld started in decent form – scoring six goals and laying on four more. But halfway through the season, a long-term ankle injury struck and he managed just one more league game.

That has not put off Tottenham, who are set to rival AC Milan for his signature this summer. Both clubs were interested back in January, with the

There is potential for Groeneveld to be somewhat of an unearthed gem, if the north Londoners opt to act on their reported interest and look to lure the Netherlands international to these shores.
Yet to be tested at one of Europe’s bigger leagues, Groeneveld has shown that he can handle a change in style when it comes to moving countries. Injuries are an issue, and that would have to be cleared up.
But if Spurs can land the attacker for a fee of less than £15million, he is certainly a risk worth taking.
