Report: Tottenham express interest in Newcastle attacker Allan Saint-Maximin
Tottenham are reportedly one of the clubs that are interested in trying to sign Newcastle United’s in-form attacker Allan Saint-Maximin.
, Spurs have expressed an interest in the 23-year-old speedster despite their limited transfer budget for the next window.
It is claimed that the North London club could try offer players such as Danny Rose and Juan Foyth plus cash to try secure a deal.
The report adds that Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain have joined the list for the Frenchman, while he’s on the recruitment list of all the Premier League’s top six teams.
Newcastle boss Steve Bruce is adamant that his team won’t sell the in-demand ace, but his stock has risen considerably with his latest displays
Spurs manager Jose Mourinho has also previously stated that he is a fan of the winger.
“I like Allan Saint-Maximin, I like his speed,”
TBR’s View – Do Spurs need Saint-Maximin?
Saint-Maximin already looks an integral player at St James’ Park during his first season as a Newcastle player, with four goals and seven assists in 25 games across all competitions.
He’s a rapid wide forward that is so hard for defenders to handle and he would inject even more ammunition to the Spurs attack, but they don’t really need him as a priority.
Mourinho already has the options of players such as Lucas Moura, Heung-Min Son and Steven Bergwijn at his disposal, so there is no guarantee that Saint-Maximin would come into the starting XI.
