Report: Tottenham defender Danny Rose wanted on loan by Middlesbrough
With Danny Rose currently frozen out of the first-team picture at Tottenham, he’s running out of time to leave this season before the EFL transfer window shuts on Friday.
The 30-year-old defender hasn’t featured in a matchday squad so far this campaign and is out of favour with Spurs manager Jose Mourinho.
There is speculation circling that the ex-England international could still leave North London in search of regular first-team minutes, something he got at Newcastle United when he joined them on loan for the second half of last season.
, Championship club Middlesbrough are interested in signing Rose before tomorrow’s deadline.
The report says the left-back’s future at Spurs is “in the dust” and he could look to put himself in the shop window for next summer if a loan move to Boro transpires.
He’s entered the final year of his deal with Spurs and his future is unclear, but it certainly looks like he will be heading for the exit doors.

TBR’s View:
Rose, who earns £60,000-a-week (), needs to force through a loan move before the window shuts and doesn’t want to go an entire season sat on the sidelines not playing.
The left-footed full-back has seen his career take a dramatic drop in the past year, but aged 30 he’s got time to bounce back and a year in the Championship regaining his best form could be great for him.
He’s not going to break back into the fold at Spurs ahead of Sergio Reguilon or Ben Davies, but a successful loan should help him to be back in top-flight football next season.
