Report: Tottenham defender Danny Rose agrees £2million loan to Newcastle
Tottenham defender Danny Rose is reportedly set to complete a move to Premier League club Newcastle United on loan.
, Newcastle have agreed a £2million fee to take the Spurs left-back on loan for the remainder of the season.
The report explains that the Magpies will have the option to buy the England international in the summer and it’s expected that he’s now played his last game for the North London club.
Rose, 29, is set to complete a late move away from Spurs in the January transfer window and he’s been at the club since 2007.
The attack-minded full-back may have slipped down the pecking order under current manager Jose Mourinho, but played a key role in the team built by former boss Mauricio Pochettino and was majorly consistent for several years.
He’s made 214 appearances for the club and is now set for a fresh challenge at St James’ Park.

It’s a move that looks like it could work for all parties, as from an individual point Rose can get back to playing regular games and trying to rediscover the kind of form that can ensure a spot in England’s summer squad for the European Championships.
Newcastle are set to bring in an experienced full-back that will add even more steel to their defence and it’s a high-profile addition.
Meanwhile, Spurs appears to be heading in a new direction following the end of the Pochettino reign and it’s time for Mourinho to really make his stamp on the side.
