Report: Tottenham considering move for Leicester striker Islam Slimani
Tottenham Hotspur could reportedly make a move for Islam Slimani of Leicester City.
, the Algerian has emerged as a possible transfer target for Spurs, who are without talisman Harry Kane because of injury.
The England captain is facing most of the rest of the season out with a ruptured hamstring, for which he required surgery.

Apparently Jose Mourinho wants a target man to bolster his attack, and Slimani – who cost Leicester £29 million () – could be an option.
The 31-year-old, who has also been linked with Aston Villa recently, is currently on loan at AS Monaco, where he has scored seven goals in 14 games.
Interestingly Mourinho once talked up Slimani, calling him

Spurs would be making a very bold play getting Slimani in this month.

He may be doing well at Monaco, but realistically he isn’t a top quality striker and doesn’t have the pedigree to fire Spurs into the top four.
Many feel Spurs should be trying to add someone who can challenge Kane rather than be content playing backup, and Slimani has largely struggled in English football.
