Report: Tottenham closing in on ‘exceptional’ signing, he’s agreed personal terms at N17

Tottenham have been heavily linked with Ivan Perisic in recent days.

Now, has claimed that Spurs are closing in on the Inter Milan star.

The outlet claims Perisic has agreed terms on a two-year deal at Tottenham.

‘Sources close to the player’ believe Spurs will beat Chelsea and Juventus to the Croatian’s signature.

Perisic played under the current Tottenham coach at the San Siro, winning the Serie A title last year.

The 33-year-old is a free agent this summer, with his Inter contract expiring next month.

Conte is a big fan of Perisic and, according to The Independent, he sees the winger as a key signing for his team.

The Italian coach met with Fabio Paratici on Friday morning and agreed to stay on at Spurs for another season.

Among his conditions was signings, with Perisic one of the players reportedly discussed.

As per , Conte believes Perisic can replicate his title-winning wing-back efforts from 2021 in England.

But while Tottenham seem to be closing in on the 2018 World Cup finalist, it’s not quite a done deal.

The Independent claims Chelsea and Juventus are set to strengthen their offers for Perisic.

However, ‘there is a belief that Spurs are persuasive, particularly with Conte set to stay on another season.’

Perisic will reportedly make a final decision over his future by Monday.

In February, Perisic was one of Inter’s best players in their Champions League last-16 first-leg defeat to Liverpool.
