Report: Tottenham and Everton keen on Valencia midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia
Tottenham are reportedly interested in signing midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia from Spanish top-flight club Valencia.
, the enforcer has been a long-term target of Spurs’ chief scout Steve Hitchen and the North London club have been monitoring him this season.
It is understood that Jose Mourinho wishes to sign a new defensive midfielder for next season and Kondogbia is a possible target.
The report also explains that Premier League rivals Everton are keen on the 27-year-old powerhouse too.
Kondogbia has played in the French, Italian and Spanish top-flights already in his career, but looks like he may be a great fit for English football.
He is a left-footed midfielder that offers a real physical presence with his size on the pitch and he can help protect the defence well.

TBR’s View – Kondogbia would be a good signing for both
Spurs are lacking some real power in their side right now, something they used to have in abundance a few years ago when they had Mouse Dembele and Victor Wanyama as a midfield pivot.
Kondogbia has proven himself as a quality individual on the ball in a number of leagues and could surely help bolster the options in Mourinho’s squad.
Meanwhile, Carlo Ancelotti’s Everton need a few more fresh faces if they want to be serious about climbing the table to compete for the European spots and they desperately need a powerhouse to compliment the agile of Andre Gomes.
