Report: Tottenham and Arsenal scouted Moussa Dembele last week
that Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal both sent scouts to Lyon’s impressive 3-2 win away at Bordeaux last week, to watch striker Moussa Dembele.
Dembele, 22, joined Lyon last summer for a fee believed to be in the region of £19.7million (), after shining north of the border with Scottish champions Celtic.
The France Under-21 international scored a whopping 51 goals in just 94 outings for Celtic, as well as laying on 18 assists as he helped Brendan Rodgers make Celtic a dominant force once again.
He has continued his excellent form in France despite the step in quality. Making 42 league and cup appearances this season, the former Fulham man has found the back of the net 18 times – and another six assists.

Now, it appears that Arsenal and Spurs have watched Dembele as he netted the winner to beat Bordeaux 3-2 with a half volley that he lashed into top corner.
TBR’s view
Still one of Europe’s best young strikers, Dembele has now proven he can score in the Champions League and in the top tier of French football. For a man of just 22 years age, he already has 88 senior goals to his name.
Spurs need back-up for Harry Kane and whether Mauricio Pochettino can convince Dembele to act as cover remains to be seen. But Arsenal also have options in Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
Dembele would be an excellent addition but needs regular game time for either side to further his development.
