Report: Tottenham and Arsenal make eleventh-hour offers for Emre Can
that Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur have tabled eleventh-hour offers for Juventus midfielder Emre Can, despite reported that the former Liverpool star is expected to join Borussia Dortmund.
Can, 26, joined Juventus on a free transfer from Liverpool in the summer of 2018 – and starred in his first season at The Old Lady. The Germany international clocked up 37 outings in his first campaign, scoring four goals.
But this season, he has plummeted down the pecking order. Just eight outings, six of which have come from the bench, have followed this season. Reports claim he is on the verge of a move to Dortmund, with it will take a £21million fee.
However, the latest report from Germany claims Arsenal and Tottenham have made late offers to sign Can – while Paris Saint-Germain and a top Spanish side are also said to have tabled a bid for the ex-Liverpool star.

TBR’s view – Can would be a top signing for Tottenham or Arsenal
Spurs need a holding midfielder with Eric Dier struggling, Moussa Sissoko out of action until April, Tanguy Ndombele struggling and Harry Winks hardly the kind of midfielder Jose Mourinho has used in the past.
Similarly, Granit Xhaka has endured a tumultuous season at Arsenal. Matteo Guendouzi has hardly lived up to his potential, Dani Ceballos has only just returned from injury. Both clubs need Can.
