Report: ‘Top, top’ player is now desperate to leave Arsenal, he wants them to reduce their asking price
Arsenal goalkeeper Bernd Leno has been heavily linked with a move away from the club in recent weeks and .
The 30-year-old found himself behind England goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale in the pecking order last season. And now it seems Leno wants to leave for more regular first-team football.
that the German has asked Arsenal to lower their asking price after holding talks with Marco Silva’s Fulham. The latest update states that the Cottagers do not want to pay the £11 million price currently set by the Gunners.

Leno joined the North London side back in the summer of 2018 for a fee around £22 million ().
The goalkeeper was a mainstay in the Arsenal team for the first three seasons as he made 30 or more appearances in each Premier League campaign. But after Mikel Arteta brought in Aaron Ramsdale, he’s seen his play time drastically reduced and only made four appearances in the league last season.
Despite his lack of game time last season, Leno stepped in for the injured Ramsdale and played brilliantly in a 1-0 win at Villa Park. After the performance, Bukayo Saka praised .

Arsenal have also added Matt Turner to their goalkeeping options after he signed from New England Revolution.

TBR’s View: Leno is a victim of Arteta’s Arsenal revolution
You have to feel for Leno as he barely put a foot wrong in an Arsenal shirt and at times was one of their better players. His performances between the sticks often kept them in games when he was a regular in the first-team.
But due to the style of football Arteta wants to play, he requires his goalkeepers to be superb with the ball at his feet. And the Spaniard has found his ideal man in Ramsdale, who was excellent last season.
It’s definitely time for Leno to move on and play regular football once again but it remains to be seen if Arsenal will budge on their valuation of the player.
