Report: Top-tier side want to get rid of Aston Villa loanee permanently
that Ligue side Lille OSC are looking to offload Aston Villa loanee Anwar El Ghazi on a permanent basis this summer.
The 23-year-old has shown glimpses of quality since joining Villa on loan last summer. But consistency has eluded the winger in the Championship, and now he is facing a three-match ban.
That is after he was sent off for seemingly elbowing Patrick Bamford in the face. Replays showed Bamford had fallen to the ground theatrically, and that there may be punishment for the Leeds United striker.
This season, two-time Netherlands international El Ghazi has scored five goals, and created six more in 32 outings. It remains to be seen if Villa want to keep him.

But the report states that Lille are desperate to offload the trickster on a permanent basis this summer, just two years and 44 appearances after joining the club for £6million from Ajax ().
TBR’s view
It is unclear how much Lille will want for El Ghazi to leave this summer, but it is likely to be close to the figure they paid for his services in the summer of 2017.
At £6million, El Ghazi is perhaps not worth it. If he had shown more consistency in his style of play, then that figure would have been more suited.
Certainly, if Villa gain promotion to the Premier League, they can do a lot better.
