Report: Tony Pulis could hold out for West Ham or Southampton job
, Tony Pulis is delaying his return to management until a Premier League club comes calling, and sees himself coming in at the likes of West Ham United or Southampton.
Pulis has been out of work since leaving Middlesbrough last season. The Welshman could not guide Boro to promotion during his 18 months at the Riverside Stadium. However, he has spent a number of years in the top flight with the likes of Stoke City, Crystal Palace and West Bromwich Albion.

Meanwhile, the Hammers are sliding towards the bottom three. They have lost four of their last five and have not won a league game since September.
TBR View – Appointing Pulis could provide a short-term fix, but is not the answer
There may be some supporters of both clubs who believe that appointing Pulis may be a smart move. Neither side looks to be moving in the right direction right now. And some may be adamant that a change is needed.
However, it would arguably be a mistake if either club made a move. West Ham clearly have the ability to turn their fortunes around. Southampton meanwhile, have a manager in Hasenhuttl who has the potential to guide the club back to the level they were at under Mauricio Pochettino and Ronald Koeman.
The Saints may be some way off that level right now. And you could understand why some supporters believe that getting relegated may actually be beneficial in the long-term.
Pulis may help the Saints tread water for longer. But sticking by Hasenhuttl would surely be a smarter move – even if the fans have to endure some more dark days before this season ends first.
