Report: Title-challenger eye move for ‘seriously good’ Tottenham youngster
AC Milan remain interested in taking Japhet Tanganga on loan from Tottenham Hotspur, on their live transfer blog (18/1; 18:04) that the defender has concerns about staying at Spurs beyond the January transfer window.
Tanganga has been linked with a surprise move away from North London. In fact, Tottenham have apparently offered him to Juventus this month in a swap deal that would have involved Dejan Kulusevski moving in the opposite direction.

Meanwhile, Milan have also been mooted as a possible destination for the 22-year-old.
(18/1; 18:04) that the Rossoneri remain interested in taking the defender on loan.

Tottenham’s stance on the interest is unclear. But Sky also suggests that Tanganga has concerns about staying put.
Tottenham are expected to soon have both Eric Dier and Cristian Romero back from injury. And with that, the academy graduate is worried about the amount of game-time he will enjoy, should he stick around.
Tanganga could really benefit from leaving Tottenham on loan
Tanganga has been an unused substitute for Spurs’ last two Premier League games. So you could understand why he may be a little wary about where he may stand.
He did not have the best time in the two legs of the Carabao Cup semi-final with Chelsea. So Dier and Romero returning is surely likely to result in Tanganga falling further down the pecking order.
Tanganga has shown that he has a lot of potential. Garth Crooks labelled his opening day performance against Manchester City ‘seriously good‘.
And he has now seen several players swap England for Serie A and do well in recent years. Fikayo Tomori has been a revelation at San Siro.
It is definitely an exciting time to join Milan. They are not out of the title race. They sit two points behind Inter, having played one game more. And they have some huge fixtures ahead.
If Tottenham feel that they have the depth, loaning Tanganga to Milan could be a smart move for his development.
