TBR’s view – Blow for Tottenham, Meunier would have been ideal
Tottenham desperately need a right-back this summer, even if it is to only rival Serge Aurier rather than replace the Ivorian. On a free, in his peak and having had a hand in 38 goals during his 128 PSG outings, Meunier would have been excellent.
Instead, Spurs are likely to have delve deep into their pockets to sign a right-back after failing to sign Meunier. Max Aarons of Norwich, Youcef Atal of Nice and plenty of others have been linked – but Meunier would have been perfect on a free.
