Report: Third-placed club in process of signing ‘perfectLiverpool player, Klopp’s unconvinced
Fenerbahce are in the process of signing Liverpool left-back Konstantinos Tsimikas on loan, according to .
The Super Lig outfit are desperate to put the disappointments of last season behind them by refreshing their squad. The Yellow Canaries failed to achieve their goal of Champions League qualification, having finished third behind Besiktas and Galatasaray.
Tsimikas is now wanted at the Sukru Saracoglu Stadium as Liverpool will not rely on the 25-year-old next season. Jurgen Klopp only called on the Greek defender to make last term, following a move from Olympiakos.

Both of Tsimikastop-flight outings came from the bench for a total of six minutes. Instead, the full-back earned most of his minutes in the Champions League (130) and EFL Cup (90).
Liverpool now intend to send Tsimikas out on loan, as he also failed to offer an attacking presence in his appearances. The Thessaloniki-born full-back ended his debut season on Merseyside without an assist or goal to his name.
Fenerbahce are in the process of signing the defender on a temporary deal. Tsimikas will have to rival Caner Erkin and Filip Novak for game time in Istanbul. Neither are felt to have delivered what was expected of them under former head coach Erol Bulut last season.
TBR’s view: Tsimikas underperformed at Liverpool
Liverpool have accepted they signed the wrong man last summer by allowing Tsimikas to join Fenerbahce on loan. He was never able to cement a key role under Klopp beyond the bench, following an start at Anfield.
Klopp had described Tsimikas as for Liverpool upon his arrival from Olympiacos. The German felt his experience of domestic and Champions League football would see him do well in England.
But opinions have clearly changed. And his potential exit follows claims by in March that Klopp had not seen enough in training to feel he had ‘sufficiently adaptedto the Redssystem. Clearly, the writing for his exit was already on the wall.
