Report: Swansea City ‘confident’ of landing Liverpool starlet Rhian Brewster

Liverpool teenager Rhian Brewster could be on the move next month, Swansea City are ‘confident’ of landing the starlet.

Interest in Brewster is quite high as the transfer window prepares to swing open, with the likes of Preston, Huddersfield, Sheffield Wednesday, Charlton and QPR all keen on the Reds striker.

Brewster has hardly featured for the Liverpool first-team this season, with Roberto Firmino playing the bulk of the games, and Divock Origi providing support off the bench.

Mo Salah and Sadio Mane have also played through the middle at times when the Brazilian has been off the pitch.

It is thought Liverpool would be willing to let Brewster go out on loan in January so long as the interested club can guarantee regular game time.

Swansea have done business with Liverpool before of course, having sold Joe Allen to them in 2012 and bought Jonjo Shelvey from them in 2013.

TBR’s view – Swansea could be an ideal environment

The youngster has previously worked with manager Steve Cooper with both the Reds and England, and it’s a partnership that could allow Brewster to flourish.

Tammy Abraham went on loan to Swansea a few seasons ago and clearly that helped with his development – perhaps it will do the same for the Liverpool prospect.
