Report: Sunderland cool interest in Leeds United’s Robbie Gotts
Sunderland have cooled their interest in Robbie Gotts, that the Leeds United midfielder is no longer a priority due to their need to strengthen their defence.
Gotts could well be on his way out of Elland Road before the window shuts on Friday. that Phil Parkinson’s men were joined by the likes of Swindon, Hull and Huddersfield in the running to loan the 20-year-old.

Meanwhile, that Lee Bowyer wants Gotts at Charlton Athletic.
And it appears that his admirers have received a small boost ahead of the deadline. , the Black Cats have cooled their interest.

It is claimed that Parkinson is planning to focus his attention on signing a new defender. Sunderland have been dealt a couple of cruel injury blows at the back, so pursuing Gotts has been put on the back burner.

Leeds will certainly do their due diligence before they decide where to send Gotts. So they should still be able to find a good move for the youngster.
But it may still seem a blow that Sunderland have seemingly stepped back from the race. A move to the Stadium of Light could have arguably been incredibly beneficial for Gotts.
Sunderland are a huge club, regardless of which division they are in. They are also a side that has to deal with a huge amount of expectation, particularly while they remain in League One.
A season spent on Wearside therefore, could have really helped Gotts prepare for his future as he looks to one day establish himself as an important player in Leeds’s squad.
