Report suggests Wolves target Andre Silva could be bought for £22.4m this summer

Southampton have seen a bid for AC Milan striker Andre Silva rejected,

They that the 33-cap Portuguese international is wanted by Ralph Hasenhuttl and the Saints have offered a loan deal initially, with a follow-up 18 million euros (£16.1 million) to buy him.

But the report that the bidding starts at 25 million euros (£22.4 million) to lure him away from Italy, as Milan would be happy to reintegrate him into their side next season.

And another club who will likely be watching the situation with interest is Wolves, who the back in May remain keen on the 23-year-old.

£22.4 million should not pose a hugely significant problem for a club as wealthy as Wolves are these days, and Silva is a player they have been linked with for many years.

They have already made Raul Jimenez’s loan deal permanent this summer, but Nuno Santo prefers a front two based on the evidence of last season and the two up front together could be lethal.

It’s important that Wolves keep pushing on year after year and Silva is a player of immense talent – it’s just a case of getting him fit and firing on a regular basis.
