Report suggests the only way Liverpool will pay £120 million transfer fee for Jadon Sancho
Liverpool may be the best team in the world right now. However, that does not mean the Reds will rest on their laurels this summer. The Anfield same are aiming to get a stranglehold on the Premier League by further improving their first-team options.
Timo Werner of RB Leipzig already looks like an option. Another player linked with a Merseyside switch is Jadon Sancho.
The England winger has been in fine form for Borussia Dortmund this season. The 19-year-old has scored 16 goals and provided 17 assists for the German side this season. Now it seems he could be heading back home over the summer.
Liverpool are one of several clubs being linked with the player. However,

They claim that Liverpool will only make a move for Sancho if they lose one of their current front-three. Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Mo Salah have been in fine form for Klopp’s side and there is currently no suggestion any are looking for an Anfield exit. But the likes of Real Madrid and Barcelona have been linked in the past.
The report states that, due to Sancho’s massive £120 million asking price, Liverpool will only move to sign him should they lose a current star for a similar sum.
TBR’s View
It may disappoint Liverpool fans to hear of this plan, but the club are simply looking out for themselves. Sancho would not automatically become a starter at Liverpool, so spending such a big sum of money on his arrival simply doesn’t make sense on a footballing front.
Financially, it makes less sense, especially with the increasing scrutiny of FFP.
With the likes of Werner seemingly available at a fraction of the Sancho price, Liverpool are making a wise decision.
