Report suggests Newcastle want Rangers’s Alfredo Morelos

that Newcastle United want Alfredo Morelos in January, but accept that it would be extremely difficult to land the Rangers man.

Despite losing their last two games, the Magpies arguably do not need to panic buy next month. Steve Bruce’s men are sat in mid-table and seven points clear of the bottom three.

It does appear however, that Bruce does want to strengthen his ranks. that Newcastle have a number of targets on their radar, including Jarrod Bowen and Morelos.

However, the report notes that they are aware that it is going to be incredibly tough to land those players.

TBR View – Rangers will surely reject all offers for Morelos

Morelos may now be facing a suspension after being sent off against Celtic on Sunday, but it would be no surprise if Rangers had no time for any offers that come in for the Colombian next month.

Steven Gerrard’s side are now in a fantastic position in the Scottish Premiership title race. They sit two points off Celtic with a game in hand after Sunday’s outstanding win.

Morelos has been key to their success this season. He has already bagged 28 goals in all competitions, including 12 in 18 league games.

Losing him in January is surely not an option, no matter what the offer. The Gers may perhaps be more open to a sale in the summer. But with the league title up for grabs for Rangers, Newcastle surely need to look elsewhere for a January striker signing.
