Report suggests Liverpool may slash Xherdan Shaqiri price-tag in half
Liverpool may have to halve their asking price for Swiss playmaker Xherdan Shaqiri, because of the ongoing global health crisis.
Finances in football are far from immune from the impact of global health trouble. With games not being played revenue has dried up for many clubs and teams are unlikely to be able to spend big on players this summer.
Instead, free transfers and swap deals will likely take over with price-tags also likely to be slashed.
that may very well be the case regarding Shaqiri.

They suggest that a previous £25 million valuation for Shaqiri, who has been linked with the likes of Sevilla and Roma recently, could have been cut in two.
So Liverpool might be looking at a £12.5 million deal to sell Shaqiri this summer, with the Swiss clearly hopeful of a move to play more regular football.
It would be a bitter financial pill to swallow. Liverpool signed Shaqiri for a reported £13 million in 2018. That was due to a relegation clause in his deal at Stoke City and was seen as something of a bargain. Liverpool would have undoubtedly considered the resale value involved as one of the key reasons behind a deal to sign Shaqiri.
Now, it appears they could make a loss on the player.
