Report suggests Leeds will need to pay over £22m for Chelsea striker
, Leeds United are now weighing up whether they wish to make a move for Michy Batshuayi having been offered the Chelsea striker this summer.
The Whites have got their summer spending underway in recent days. Jack Harrison’s loan has been extended, while the likes of Joe Gelhardt, Charlie Allen and Cody Drameh have all arrived.

The Elland Road faithful will now be hoping to see the club step up their plans to strengthen the first-team squad.
And one player that the Whites’ decision-makers are now talking about is Batshuayi.

that Leeds have been offered the 26-year-old, who is now into the final year of his £108,000-a-week deal at Stamford Bridge.
And it appears that the Blues striker is being considered. According to HLN, Batshuayi is set to cost around £22.6 million. It remains to be seen whether that figure takes wages into account, or whether that is the clubs’s asking price.
Chelsea have reportedly accepted that they are not going to recoup the £33 million they spent on the forward in 2016 ().
TBR View: Batshuayi move could be gamble, but becomes calculated risk if Bielsa gives green light
Chelsea are perhaps being optimistic hoping to recoup so much for Batshuayi. There have certainly been signs of his brilliance for the Blues or while he has been out on loan.
However, he has made just five league starts since joining Chelsea. So it would arguably be a brave move if Leeds did decide to meet his asking price.
But Leeds fans will take some encouragement from Bielsa working with Batshuayi previously. It was under the Argentine that the striker made his debut for Marseille.
If Bielsa therefore, feels that signing Batshuayi is a worthwhile move, Leeds supporters will largely get on board with the idea.
If it works out, it could be a masterstroke from the Whites.
