Report suggests Championship side are ready to hijack Celtic’s flagging David Turnbull transfer
Celtic’s transfer turmoil over David Turnbull continues to rumble on. The Glasgow club and Motherwell have agreed a deal for the player, to be worth around £3 million.
However, the club and player’s agent have struggled to come to terms on the player’s wages – with rumours of a £20,000-a-week demand.
There has certainly been some developing stories regarding this prolonged transfer overnight.
that Turnbull’s main concern is not in fact money. The Motherwell player will make a decision based on who is offering him ‘the best option to progress his playing career’.

Sheffield Wednesday are ready to hijack any deal. The Owls reportedly watched Turnbull several times last season but felt they had missed out to Celtic.
However, the struggle getting the deal over the line at Parkhead has spurred Wednesday into action. The report claims Wednesday will meet the £3 million asking price for Turnbull.
Celtic must now act fast to finalise a deal for the teenager who shone for Motherwell last season.
Of course, they should not be paying him anywhere near £20,000-a-week but a happy compromise must be found. If not, Turnbull will clearly have other options.
