Report suggests 6 managers Crystal Palace could move for in wake of failed Lucien Favre talks
The Crystal Palace manager search sadly continues despite the Eagles coming close to landing Lucien Favre.
The former Borussia Dortmund boss has apparently had a change of heart regarding a switch to Selhurst Park.
According to , Favre told Palace he wants a longer break from football.
He reportedly expressed concerns about having enough energy to take on a move to a new country, a new league and a new language.
It’s a blow for Palace, who had apparently made such progress, they felt they could announce Favre by the weekend.
So, who could potentially take over the Eagles reins now?

Palace manager search – falling back on previous candidates?
According to , Palace are likely to fall back on candidates who impressed from the initial process.
This is instead of starting the process from scratch, with pre-season just over a week away.
The initial wave of candidates included Sean Dyche, Frank Lampard, Patrick Vieira, Steve Cooper, Paulo Fonseca, Valerien Ismael, Chris Wilder and Eddie Howe.
Palace were also talking to Nuno Espirito Santo, but talks broke down as his reluctance to join became increasingly clear, claimed .

Ismael joined West Brom on Thursday, so he’s out of the running, barring an extraordinary turn of events.
Palace were apparently in talks with Swansea over Steve Cooper, but talks broke down over a £3m compensation fee, according to .
Dyche remains at Burnley, while Lampard, Vieira, Fonseca, Wilder and Howe are still free agents.
Based on the report in , it would seem as though Palace could potentially target one of those six.
