Report states cult hero Fernando Llorente ‘will return’, Tottenham to pay 70% of his wages
Tottenham Hotspur are on the verge of re-signing Fernando Llorente on loan as cover for the injured Harry Kane, according to reports.
that Llorente had emerged as an option for Spurs after losing the England international to a severe hamstring injury.
Now, according to agent Ricardo Napolitano, the deal is looking likely. that Llorente ‘will return to Tottenham on loan’ and Spurs will be paying 70 percent of his current wages at the Italian side.
Of course, Llorente only left Tottenham in the summer after his contract at Spurs expired. It was a decision many Tottenham fans were disappointed with, after Llorente’s heroics in the latter stages of the Champions League.

The Spanish forward has since struggled to find regular start time at Napoli and it seems he is ready to answer Tottenham’s SOS call this month.

It could be a shrewd piece of business from Tottenham to bring Llorente back to the club. He will fit straight back into the surroundings and at that salary rate, Daniel Levy will not have to pay out big time for his return.
It could also be argued that Llorente actually suits Jose Mourinho’s style of football more than his former boss Mauricio Pochettino. Perhaps this could be an even more successful stint at the North London club for this Tottenham cult hero.
