Of course, Tottenham will already have a very good idea of what Madueke is capable of. He was on their books before heading to The Netherlands in 2018.

He enjoyed a stunning campaign last year. The teenager bagged seven goals in the Eredivisie. His record is all the more remarkable given that he only started seven times in the top flight.

The Daily Mail notes that his asking price is £34 million. But PSV are hoping to hold onto him for one more year in the hope that his value could skyrocket.

Madueke deal would be a superb way for Spurs to bring curtain down on excellent window

It has arguably been a very impressive first window for Fabio Paratici in North London.

Admittedly, some may express some frustration if Tottenham spend anything like £34 million on a player who was once on their books.

But Madueke has gone away and really started to prove himself.

He has taken his game to another level. And beating several of their Premier League rivals to his signature would be a fantastic way for Spurs to round off their window.
