Report: Spurs to let Danny Rose leave on free with Leeds keen
Leeds United appear to have received a significant transfer boost, that Tottenham Hotspur are open to letting Danny Rose leave on a free transfer this summer.
Rose’s future has looked to lie away from North London for some time. that Spurs wanted to move him on, but he planned to stay until his deal expired in 2021.
He did seal a move away in January. But, of course, that switch was a loan to Newcastle United. And the Mail on Sunday has suggested that he is not expected to return to Tyneside ahead of next season.
Instead, it appears that he could move to Elland Road.

And Tottenham are willing to let the England international leave on a free transfer. The report suggests that Leeds will have to match his £65,000-a-week wages.

Rose has arguably fallen short of his best form over the last couple of years. Nevertheless, he could arguably prove to be an inspired signing for the Championship winners should they bring him in on a free transfer.
The 30-year-old has been one of the Premier League’s best full-backs over the last decade. And he may relish the chance to return to his first club following their promotion to English football’s top table.
His reported wage demands may leave some fans with some concerns. But it would also be foolish to write off the chances of any deal proving to be an absolute masterstroke from Marcelo Bielsa’s men.
