Report: Spurs remain keen on Chelsea defender Kurt Zouma
Spurs remain in the running to sign Chelsea defender Kurt Zouma as Fabio Paratici looks to bolster the club’s defensive ranks further, .
Tottenham were linked with the France international earlier in the window. On that occasion, Fabrizio Romano claimed that Zouma was seen as a potential alternative target to Cristian Romero.

Of course, Spurs have since signed Romero. So some may have assumed that they may have ended their interest in Zouma.
West Ham have since been in talks with the Blues about a £20 million move for the centre-back. However, that talks fell through due to his £120,000-a-week wage demands.

And now Spurs seem to be back in the running. that Zouma is one of the defenders on their radar heading into the final stages of the window.
Spurs may find it harder to justify Kurt Zouma move after opening weekend heroics
It looked imperative that Tottenham strengthened their defence this summer.
Eric Dier, Davinson Sanchez and Toby Alderweireld struggled last year. And Alderweireld left earlier in the window.
Romero has arrived. And you could understand why Paratici was looking to make further signings.
But surely, a move for Zouma will not go down well following their opening day of the season.
Sanchez and Dier were outstanding in the 1-0 win over Manchester City. The Colombian, in particular, was lauded by the supporters on social media.
So spending around £20 million and offering wages of £120,000-a-week on Zouma may seem unnecessary at this point considering that he has been less involved at Chelsea.
It will be very interesting to see whether Tottenham step up their interest in the 26-year-old as the deadline edges closer.
